Rooted in heritage. Made for how we live now.

Rooted in heritage. Made for how we live now.

Inspired by my abuelita, Cura Lita is more than a drink. It is a return to what has always nourished us.

Rooted in Mexican tradition and reimagined for today, Cura Lita brings together plant-based ingredients, functional benefits, and flavors that feel like home. Clean, vibrant, and crafted to support a modern lifestyle.

We created Cura Lita to honor where we come from while shaping what comes next. An agua fresca that carries culture, care, and community in every sip.

Lola Joann Vasquez Cisneros, or "Lita," grew up with her nine siblings on a boxcar traveling Mexico's railroads and the southern U.S. Her dad, Candido Vasquez, worked on that boxcar, migrating from Puruándiro, Mexico, with his wife Delores Vasquez and their kids.

From these early travels, Lita learned resilience and unity. She raised four amazing kids, passing on the lessons of love and family she learned from her mom, Delores. Lita's real passion was cooking, and her kitchen became a hub of warmth, laughter, and tradition.

Lita's recipes tell the tale of a life well-lived. Today, as we enjoy the flavors she crafted, we toast to Lita—a matriarch whose spirit lives on in shared meals, laughter, and enduring family ties.

A note from our founder

A not from our founder

Fun fact: Cura Lita is named after my abuelita (grandmother). As a kid, I couldn’t pronounce abuelita – thus, the nickname “Lita” was born.

I remember watching my grandparents celebrate life, dancing in their living room to Mexican music as gritos echoed off the ceiling. I take this spirit of celebration and love with me throughout my life.

Life should be a celebration & we can only celebrate life if we have our health. While beverage choices in the latin community are far from nutritious, that's not the only issue at play. Income inequality, large corporations making a quick buck with sugary fizzy drinks, minority education...

So we're doing it differenty.
